White Dove - Trash to Treasure Make Over

Cabinet Make Over

My husband and I were out driving around and happened upon a "parking lot" sale.
I found this old cabinet for $15.00.
It was a nasty brown and very ugly.  I loved the little drawer at the bottom and the mirrored front.
The glass looks old but is still very clear.  I love it when mirrored glass starts to "age".
I decided to paint it white (the color is White Dove).
The wood applique was salvaged from a previous project.
The green glass knobs are original to the piece.  I love vintage glass knobs!
I filled it with vintage pale pink and white porcelain.
I needed to add some color so I hung a vintage floral print underneath and a handmade sachet from the glass knob.  The frame was another vintage find.....  originally a dark brown.  I painted it white.....  using a dry brush technique to retain that vintage look.
I found the 1907 Calling Card in the drawer.....  so I tucked into the mirror.  I wanted to keep it with the cabinet.
My collection of vintage etched vanity bottles fits perfectly on top.
LOL!  My husband fussed at me for buying "another piece of junk".
Now I know why I don't listen to him.  I have to be nice.  He did sand it down and add the wood applique for me.
Now it's just perfect!
