Fabulously French - Feathered Nest Friday!

Fabulously French!

I made this PARIS banner the other day.
I was at the dollar store (for something else) and found crepe paper (2 rolls for $1), some "flocked" scrapbook paper ($4) , and a package of white lace doilies ($1).
I had no idea at the time what I was going to do with the materials but knew I could create something wonderful.  This is what I came up with.
I love it!
On my last trip to our local flea market I purchased a wonderful old French hat box ($20).  It is stamped "Paris" on the bottom and has little gold Fleur de lis all over.  It's in excellent condition.
Inside the box was a hat with millinery flowers and a lace scarf/shawl.
What a bargain.

Have a nice weekend and stay cool!
It is sooooooo HOT here!

I love your banner. It is beautiful. WHAT a find that old hat box was...can you believe that it had those goodies inside it, too? xo Diana

Your banner is so pretty and I love that piece of lace hanging behind it--so pretty too!
