Cherub Love and a little R&R

A little R&R

On occasion everyone needs a little R&R.
I love to curl up with one of my favorite decorating books and just relax.
I needed a one drink, one book table.
So off to the basement to see what I could come up with.
I used an old pedestal with "raised" roses and swags for the base.  The top of the pedestal was a little rough so I covered it with a vintage dresser scarf.  For the top......  I used a vintage hand painted tray.
Hmmmmm........  now I had a table but no light.  So again..... off to the basement.
I purchased this lamp on Etsy from Stacy's Shabby Shoppe some time ago.  It was the perfect size.  I love the darling cherub, the alabaster base and the glass crystals but had intended to replace the shade.  I decided to keep the simple skirt shade and dress it up.  I added some old millinery flowers (pink roses and a velvet bow) off an old hat.

It's the "perfect" little space........  just for me.
