Meet..... Sir Archibald - "Archie" - my 8 yr old Boxer
Isn't he beautiful!!
Oh... what a face!
Begging for his favorite treat
Shaking his daddy's hand
Getting a bath! What fun!
Looks like daddy took a bath, too!
LOL! Wearing his bath towel.
Home from the Vet
Biopsy
Taking a much needed rest after his visit to the vet
I rarely blog about anything personal..... but, today is an exception.
It's been a rough morning. I received the dreaded news..... cancer.
Meet Sir Archibald.... aka "Archie".
He is my sweet 8 1/2 year old Boxer pup. He's the light of my life.... my pride and joy.
Last Friday I noticed a lump on his leg. He wasn't in pain but I knew it should be checked right away. He just had his routine six month check up and shots two weeks ago and the vet didn't notice it! Anyway, his appointment was this morning. He has a mast cell tumor and the biopsy came back with abnormal cells.... possible cancer. He has surgery scheduled for tomorrow morning to remove the tumor and for another biopsy.
I know lots of you have and love your fur babies. I am no exception. I love Archie so much. We've had him since he was six weeks old and I can't bare the thought of him being sick or losing him.
Most of life's problems can be fixed but sometimes we are powerless. We must rely on our faith. I believe in God's miracles and in the power of prayer..... and today I am asking for your prayers.....
that God will bless and heal my beloved Archie.
Many thanks.
Be well and may God bless.
Elizabeth
Hello.
I wanted to take a minute to post an update.
Archie had surgery yesterday and is home now. He's in a lot of pain but doing as expected.
The good news is the surgery went well... the bad news is they found and removed a second tumor. The one on his leg and one on his back. Poor baby... he has been through the ringer.
Tears. It is so hard to see him like this.
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for your prayers and kind words of support. It means so much.
I will update again once the results from the biopsy come back... approx 14 days.
Thank you, once again.
May God bless.

Awl, Elizabeth, sure hope everything goes ok for that handsome fur boy!
I will keep you both in my prayers. Our pets are family, so I understand you hurt and concern......love is love is love!
Oh we so understand!! I know it is horrible, but sometimes I feel more sympathy for pets than people, I guess it is their sweetness and the child like way they rely on their people. He is young and strong, This will go a long way being cured He will be in my prayers.....What a sweetie!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful fur baby! I know how much pain you go through as I have had to bare this type of thing before. Most recent was my fur baby BearBear who was a 13 year old Rottie. He passed about a year ago now, but there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of him and remember all the funny quirky stuff he did. They are with us such a short time, love him with all your heart and appreciate each day you have with him! Thank you for the update on Archie and please continue to let us know how he is doing.
