A Study of Violets ~ Thoughts of Spring

A Study Of Violets ~ by Mary E. Hart

I can hardly wait till Spring!
It's still very cold here.  Freezing rain yesterday and even though it's sunny today.....  it's still only 27 degrees.  We are supposed to get 10 inches of snow by Thursday!  Ugggg!  So no spring blooms.
Thank you, bloggers........  who live where it's warm for sharing your beautiful flowers with us.  It's very inspiring and gives the rest of us something to look forward to.
Until the weather warms up and I can spend time in the garden........  I'm spring cleaning and re-decorating.
Bringing out the whites and pastels.
I have several yard long prints and this is one of my favorites.  I think it evokes Spring.  I love the pretty pastels.......  pinks, purples and greens.

Hope all you lovelies have a wonderful week!
Elizabeth

P.S.  We got almost 14" inches of snow today!!

Hi Elizabeth... and thank you so much for stopping by today!... yes, we are both thinking SPRING!... your weather sounds like ours... it will be sunny and clear then freezing rain and fog and snow again... no flowers blooming in my gardens yet, still all covered in snow!... love your gorgeous violets picture... I know deep under our snow my little violets are probably blooming... I too collect vintage violets... wishing you a blissful day, xoxo Julie Marie

That print is so pretty. It's so cold here today, but hopefully spring is on its way. It has to be, right?

Pretty print. I, too am dreaming of spring. We are supposed to get snow tomorrow which I am excited about, we need the moisture. Spring is just around the corner!

Hi Elizabeth ~ it seems like we are all dreaming of spring! I love your Mary Hart yardlong! I have sold a few of those over the years. I actually was going to buy one at an antique show that I was at this weekend, but it had too much water damage for my taste so I passed it by. Aren't they gorgeous!

Oh it's gorgeous!! My MIL has a few and I am always begging her to give them to me! This one is perfectly "tea stained" and springy.
