So Lovely ~ Organza & Pink Flocking

1950's Sweetheart Dress

Isn't she lovely!!
I found her at a local vintage clothing shop.
I fell in love with the "flocking" in soft shades of pink, cream and green.
The skirt is full with a "scalloped" hem line.
I added a flower pin made from vintage silk ribbon and a vintage rhinestone pin.
I just LOVE these old dresses! and am always excited when I find another one.

Enjoy your weekend!

This looks just like the dress that my two sisters and I wore when our Mom remarried several years after the death of our Father.

Brings back fond memories.

I love 50's prom dresses as well. You should check out my blog and see some of the ones that I have purchased. I have never been so lucky to find any at a thrift store, but I purchase them off of Ebay. I see a pink dress in the background of your picture that I would LOVE to have. Do you sell them?? Please contact me if you do. Cinderella81984@yahoo.com. Please stop by my blog sometime.

OH days gone by Elizabeth...how wonderful it must have been! Having dresses like that hanging in the closet to wear out to dinner or to the movies. Beautiful!

Lovely but I must say, that pink one behind it is to die for! Love the pink, material and the flowers on it...I would love to twirl in it, just like in You've Got Mail.
