Vintage "Custom Bilt" Cabinet ~ Kitchen Accents

Vintage "Custom Bilt" Cabinet

I wanted to share with you....  the fabulous new (old) cabinet I found.
My kitchen is currently being renovated so what I can show you is limited.
We have done a lot but it is far from being completed.
I found this old "Custom Bilt" cabinet for $100 at a local antiques store.  I thought it would be the perfect vintage accent in my "new" kitchen.  It's tall and has five good size shelves.  Perfect to store my vintage crockery bowls (that hold onions, potatoes and bread) and all of my jars.  I decant everything!
I LOVE the metal "Custom Bilt" label.  So glad it was still in tact.
And.... those screen doors!  Adorable!
The original handle had been replaced (a gold lions head).... yuck!  I removed it and added a white milk glass knob.  Now it's perfect.
I love vintage and I love roses.  I found the old rose print and white platters on the same buying trip.
I added the vintage glitter letter..... "D" for dinner... he, he.... and the altered French inspired candles.
I printed the numbers onto cardstock, tore the edges and added silver glass glitter.
Then wired them on with some rusty wire and added some beads.
I filled the vintage platters with a bunch of old buttons and added the candles.
A simple, fun project.

Have a great week!

I love your new cabinet- I love the old-fashioned look to it. What a fun addition to your kitchen. I'd say they definitely had the WRONG knob on there...lol The porcelain knob is just right- xo Diana
