Snow Blizzard
Have you ever wished you were somewhere else?
Well, today's that day!
It's freezing cold with record snow falls.
We've been blasted over and over again. We barely dig out and here it comes again!
We are used to snow..... but, I have never seen anything like this and I've lived here all my life.
Last week we got 17" and only a few days later another 21".
The snow is so deep it completely covered the steps to my shed porch and the double doors wouldn't open. It's as high as the skirt on the deck (five steps high)! My husband had to shovel a path for the dog;. LOL! He would have disappeared. The snow would have swallowed him.
Everything is shut down..... local businesses, the post office and the air port. Thousands of people are without power. We are lucky..... our power has been restored. The sheer weight of the snow has caused roofs to cave and there are tree limbs down everywhere.
There is a silver lining......... it will help us recover from the drought we had last summer. Spring flowers and green grass are just around the corner.
I can't wait till SPRING!
Brrrrr!
Hope everyone is safe and toasty.

WOW - that really is a nasty storm.
We had a lot of that in the late 70s here - school was closed for weeks and weeks - that was the old days when you didn't have make-up days.
Hope spring comes for you soon.
Stay warm and dry...and SAFE!
With the amount of snow we had and having this season..I wish I were anywhere that has sunshine and sand..for now, only in my dreams...
Brr!!!!
We are finally having snow here in Colorado, too. Not that much though! Your shed looks so pretty sitting there in the snow. I can't wait for spring, either and we need the moisture from our drought.

I can relate to your post today Elizabeth! Our winter in Utah has been ridiculous. I am ready for spring too...just love your backyard. I can imagine what it must look like in the summertime! xo
At least, the pictures are postcard worthy! I hope you won't have to much damage to your house, though. Spring is on its way... It's just a little late this year!
My goodness can you even open your front door! Love the pictures,
