Cottage White ~ Shelf Make Over

Another "trash to treasure".  I found this shelf at a garage sale over the summer.  I bought it for just a few dollars.  It was an ugly brown color.  I sanded it down and painted it a cottage white.  I decided to hang it my bedroom.  Together with vintage hand painted rose china..... it makes such lovely display.  I hung a 1920's Christening gown from the lower shelf.  It turned out so beautiful and really makes a statement.

It is wonderful what one can do with a bit of effort and ingenuity. You have a lovely shelf. I think the plate I picked up this week would be lovely on it. You also have a beautiful collection.
