Old Saint Nick - Altered Art

Old Saint Nick Christmas Gift / Hang Tags

I love paper crafting and altered art.
I was in the mood to create something unique...  OOAK.  Bored with Fall....  I decided to move on to Christmas.
Didn't know where to begin.........  so, to get inspired I got out my trusty box of "scraps".  I have a big box full of scraps.  Bits and pieces of everything.  You name it...  it's in there!  Pieces of vintage fabric, bits of old lace, ribbon, tulle, feathers, antique sheet music, buttons, pearls, vintage rhinestone jewelry, etc.
I also have a box of printed "seconds".  Images that didn't print perfectly.  I'm terrible.  I save everything!  I just know I can use it for something even if it's not perfect.
I love old things and prefer a vintage themed Christmas.  I decided to make altered art ornaments staying within the off white and sepia tone color palette.  These paper gift tags can hang on tree or....  would look great on a gift wrapped in brown craft paper.
I love the tone on tone look but I also love my Pink!  I may end up doing a pink and soft teal tree this year.  I suddenly feel inspired....  so, who knows what I'll come up with.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
Elizabeth

What a lovely idea. My senior mom does something similar but on a smaller scale when making cards to send her great-grandkids. I'll have to show her this. Thank you.

This is so inspirational. I make mixed media tags and have just begun my Christmas ones. Yours are quite beautiful. When my printer gets low on ink, I print out images until the ink runs out. I love the effect on the fading images.
