A Lovely Trio

A Lovely Trio

Some of you who visit often know that I am in the middle of a kitchen renovation.
The new counter tops, stainless sink and fixtures were installed last weekend.  We will be tiling this weekend.
I wanted some new towels for my "new" kitchen.  I searched and searched and couldn't find anything I liked......  so I decided to make my own.
When remodelling.....  I chose a timeless look.  White painted cabinets, black granite counter tops, stainless appliances and hardwood floors.  I wanted the same in accessories.
I wanted something classic that also satisfied my love of shabby chic.
I added hand torn ruffles to a set of plain kitchen towels.  The ruffles were pretty but not "frilly" enough for me.  They needed a little "something".  I made a bunch of different sized flowers and roses from strips of fabric, lace and buttons.
Now I LOVE them!

Wishing all of you a happy and safe
Labor Day weekend!
Elizabeth

Oh- I love them, too. They are gorgeous. You must be getting really excited now that the kitchen is getting further along. I wish I had gone with a big stainless steel sink now. I did a composite granite sink and it never looks clean- ugh- xo Diana

Your towels are adorable! The flowers and ruffles are so charming :) Even though going thru a kitchen renovation is kind of hectic I find it quite exciting too. Looking forward to the posts about the kitchen.

What a difference the details make! This are each one so sweet and this is an idea for gifts, too. I could think of something for my 'nautical' kitchen, too. Hugs!

Oh, a kitchen remodel...how exciting! I would love to have white cabinets! Your towels are so pretty:)

What do you think of all the changes Etsy is making right now? They took away all my good reviews as a buyer and all the appreciation photo's I had left...I was so sad to lose my buyer rating:(
