Vintage Romance

A Bit of Romance

May I have this dance......
I just purchased this lovely 1940's tulle dress.
I love the soft blue green tulle and shabby pink silk underlay.  Both faded over time.
It looks like a ballet dress so I paired it with a pair of altered art ballet slippers.
So romantic.
I can imagine them dancing the night away.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Elizabeth, another gorgeous find. Every time I come over and see your ballet shoes,my heart skips,as I gave away a suitcase full that were my daughters when she was growing up and doing ballet.:( I'll have to keep my eye open for more. I also thought of making a Christening dress like this ballet dress. I think it would be so pretty. xx

Lovely...just lovely! Especially love the altered ballet shoes! I saved my daughter's first ballet shoes, (from age 2!) added some jewelry to them, and now we hang them as ornaments on the Christmas tree! Lovely memories. Catherine (new follower)
