Vintage Tea Cup Candles

I love vintage china.  

I've been collecting for years and have amassed a sizable collection......  always gravitating towards those with rose motifs..

I have several full sets, lots of tea cups and saucers and many mix and match pieces.

I use them in a variety of ways.....  such as hanging single plates on the wall instead of framed art and using the well loved and chipped pieces in my mosaic projects.  

I wanted to give handmade gifts this Valentine's Day so I decided to make tea cup candles.

I made a number of candles keeping this one for myself.

I plan to take a relaxing bath and read my favorite magazine to sweet smelling candle light.

Handmade Valentine's ~ Happy Pink Saturday!

  Handmade Valentine's

I love handmade Valentine's. 

I like to adorn my Valentine's Day gifts with handmade tags.  

I made these the other day using paper lace doilies, tulle, ribbons and glitter.

I found the vintage ribbon (in last photo) at the thrift store for only a dollar.  The tags and ribbon will look lovely together paired with pink wrapping paper.

Happy Valentines Day!

I love vintage Valentine's.
I love old candy boxes, antique paper Valentines, and vintage hearts.
They make lovely decorations but are useful as well.
Fill an old candy box with goodies.....  add a vintage sentiment and it makes the perfect Valentine's Day gift.
I found this lovely velvet heart pillow a few years ago at a local flea market.  I Love it!  It has a special place on my bed every Valentine's Day.
My husband sent me roses today.  They are gorgeous!
I love fresh flowers....  especially roses.  He never forgets.

Vintage Valentines

 

I love old candy boxes.

I found these beauties last year at a local flea market.

They are so pretty and very special.  Both are dated 1909.

They are beautifully decorated on the outside with old millinery flowers but what's so special about them is what's on the inside.  They are hand decorated with crepe paper and 1909 Valentines.  What a wonderful find.
