 Antique Vitrine Display Cabinet

2014 is off to a great start!
This ormolu display cabinet was an amazing find!  Costly but amazing.
It's so beautiful.
Romantic and very feminine.  Perfect for my bedroom.
I love the tufted velvet lining.  Over time it's faded to the perfect shade of soft pink.  I'm sure it was brighter at one time but I actually like it better this way.  I prefer soft, pale muted colors.
I love the cute little cherubs at the top and ornate little feet.
The perfect size to display my cherished collectibles.
So charming.

Antique Porcelain Pins

Today I am sharing a rare and very special find.  

It seemed appropriate with Valentine's Day approaching.

Aren't these the cutest little pins!!  I LOVE them!

I've never seen any quite like them.  It would be rare to find one but to find a set is very special.

They are made of fine porcelain with gilded edges and are very old.  

They are in wonderful condition with no chips and still have the "pin" attached to the back.

A wonderful addition to my collection.

I've been exceptionally busy.  I thought once Christmas was over it would slow down.  Not!

I am in the mood for Valentine's.

I love collage art.  Thought I would share a set of handmade altered tags I just finished.

I listed them in my shop and they sold almost immediately.  

They are so cute.....  I wish I'd kept them for myself.
