Bling Baby Bling! ~ Happy New Year!

 "Bling!" is a girls best friend!

As the year comes to a close.....  I thought I would share a few of my favorite finds in 2012.

I found this gorgeous Candelabra at a local antique shop for an incredible $40.00!!!  I couldn't believe it!  It stands a whopping 20" tall and the vintage prisms hang a foot long!!!  The crystals are huge.  It's an amazing piece.

I found the vintage cloche~stand at my favorite antique shop "The White Rabbit".  It was only $24.00!  It's just gorgeous!  The long stem is gold leaf and the cloche is etched with ribbons and swags.

I found this "to die for!" vintage rhinestone crown ~ tiara a couple of weeks ago.  It's huge!!  Fit for a Queen!  I confess.....  I paid tooooo much for this piece.... but, a girl's gotta do.... what a girl's gotta do!

I LOVE roses!! and my sweet hubby sent me two dozen for my anniversary in October.  I saved and dried them.  Dried roses are so beautiful.....  with all the variegated colors.  I put some of them in a vintage compote and they look so pretty on my coffee table.

Pretty White Guest Room

One of the tasks during the holidays is to prepare the guest room.

I love decorating with white.....  especially at Christmas time.

I went to visit my mother the other day and her guest room is so lovely.  

I just had to share it with you.

We share the love of decorating and collecting.  

Some of the pretties you see here....  we found together while flea market and antique shopping.

Both of us LOVE antique linens.  

I especially love the tambour and net lace pieces she used.....  (first and second photos).

It's so pretty, cozy and inviting.

I love "white" at Christmas time.

Today was the first snow fall of the season.  

We woke up this morning to a thick blanket of white.  

It looks so pretty outside.  The snow glistening in the sun light.
Archie.... my beloved Boxer pup... loves to play in the snow.

It finally feels like Christmas.

Sweet Cherubs ~ A Gilded Christmas

Sweet Cherubs

I have been collecting these little clocks for several years.  I rarely find one I don't already have. When I found this one I was so excited.  A vintage cast bronze clock with a gilded Cherub.

It arrived in my mailbox the first week in December.  It was wrapped so pretty.  

Merry Christmas to me!  

Cherubs are enchanting at Christmas time and the clock blends in perfectly with my other Christmas decorations.

Can you believe.... only fourteen days until Christmas!!!!!

Now that Thanksgiving is over and Winter is knocking at the door.......  I've suddenly realized that another year has passed.  Time passes faster than ever these days.  Where did it go??  As I reflect on the passing year....  I am so grateful.  I know I am truly blessed 

This plateau mirror is one of my favorite finds of  2012.  It is very old..... probably from the 30's or 40's.  I love the etched glass and the little bows and swags on the handles.  Sometimes a piece just speaks to me.....  and this one did.
