FALL Banner ~ Burlap and Lace

FALL Banner

I love decorating as the seasons change.
This year I was lucky and found the time to make a lot of new things.......  a burlap banner, painted Mason jar vases, and fabric pumpkins.
The banner was very easy to make.  I purchased one yard of burlap for the pennants and hot glued on bits and pieces of vintage lace and buttons.  I stencilled the letters (FALL) on with brown acrylic craft paint.
Today I am sharing my burlap banner and a sneak peak of the Mason jars and pumpkins.

Handmade Halloween and Free Offer!

A Handmade Halloween!

I have two little nieces that I enjoy sewing and crafting for.  I made these Trick or Treat Bags and Banners for them this year for Halloween.  They turned out great!  Even better than I expected.
The Trick or Treat Bags are so darling.  They are hand sewn (no glue) and are fully lined.  The Banners are sooooo cute!  They too, are hand sewn and double sided (reversible) and can be displayed two ways.  They can all be used year after year.

I had so much fun making them.....  that I made several more.  They are available for purchase in my Etsy shop:  https://www.etsy.com/shop/theporcelainrose?ref=si_shop

I am offering a Free set of Gift Tags to any of my Blogging friends who purchase either a Trick or Treat Bag or Banner.  Just let me know when you make your purchase that you saw this offer on my blog.  If you purchase a Bag and a Banner you will receive two Free sets of gift tags.

Happy Hump Day!!

Angel in my Garden

The weather was beautiful this weekend.
It was joy to be outside.  I worked all day in the front yard cleaning and decorating.
Everything looks so nice......  at least until the leaves start to fall.
I love my little corner garden.  It's so pretty.  Such a nice place to sit in the morning and watch the sun rise or to sit and relax in the evening.
The angel and the birdbath are rather special to me.  My sweet husband surprised me one day.....  he went to get grass seed and came back with them instead.  I love them both.  I filled the birdbath with tumbled sea glass and polished river rock.  They sparkle in the sun and attract the birds.
I found the bench curb side in the trash.  I love the ornate cast iron arms.  Very heavy!  The wood was rotten and falling off.  My husband cut all new slats.  Some new paint and now it's perfect.
I got the peasant boy statue at the flea market for $27.  Love his chippy white paint!  He's huge and very, very heavy.  I needed something to sit him on and lucked out when I found the marble base.  Thrift store for $6.95!  It's a good 3 to 4 inches thick!  I think it was part of a bathroom fixture.  I think they look great together.

Handmade Pumpkins - Softer Side of FALL

  Handmade Fabric & Lace Pumpkins

Fall has arrived.
The mornings are crisp and the first leaves are falling from the trees.
I enjoy decorating and all the wonderful smells that go with the season.  Yum.....  I can already smell cinnamon and spice in the air.
Over the years my style has evolved.  I  now prefer a softer.....   more shabby approach to fall decorating.  Creamy whites, peach instead of orange, ruffles and vintage lace.
I've spent many nights of late burning the midnight oil trying to finish the projects on my list.  LOL.  My list is never ending!
Sharing some of my fabric and lace pumpkins.

I made a bunch and several are available for purchase in my Etsy shop:

Have a wonderful week!
Elizabeth
