A Bit of Romance

May I have this dance......

I just purchased this lovely 1940's tulle dress.

I love the soft blue green tulle and shabby pink silk underlay.  Both faded over time.

It looks like a ballet dress so I paired it with a pair of altered art ballet slippers.
So romantic.

I can imagine them dancing the night away.

Pretty Boudoir ~ Spring Cleaning

  

 

 

 

Romantic Boudoir

April showers bring May flowers.

It has been raining consistently for days!  Any more rain and we are going to float away.

I shouldn't complain.......  with the severe drought we had last year....  we need all the rain we can get.  In a month or two.....  we will be complaining of the heat.

Since I'm cooped up in the house...........  thought I would do some much needed spring cleaning.

You know...........  dust "everything", remove and wash the drapes, clean under the bed and behind the dresser(s) and armoire.  And.....  in the process.....  I re-discover things I forget I have.

My bedroom(s) are filled to the brim with lovelies and it's nice to re-arrange and swap out displays.  

Thought I would share some of my pretties with you.

White Whispers - Vintage Tulle

Spring is in the air..........  and I'm in the mood for "white"!

I fell in love with this little girls... all white tulle dress... that I found at the local flea market.  

The dress was $25 and the pink millinery corsage was only $4.

I believe it to be from the 30's or 40's.
I thought it a wee bit "plain" so I added the pretty pink millinery corsage.

Now it reminds me of a fairy princess dress.  

I can imagine it with a pair of pink ballet slippers.

I find such perfection in old things.

I love the tulle ruffles!!  So pretty and feminine.

Love the little bows and millinery roses.

They are the perfect powder blue.  So shabbilicious!!

They don't make 'em like they used to!
